Bomgar

October 16th, 2008

What do you use for remote support? If you have not already heard of it or seen it then you owe it to yourself to try out Bomgar . It is a hardware device that allows you to remotely control/repair other pc’s (that is putting it in simple terms) . Not only can you connect to other computers from the end user initiating it, but you can tag those computers and connect again at any time you need to.

The Bomgar comes in different sizes to suit your needs. Having been a user for about a year now, I can say I would never go back to using any other type of hardware/software for my remote needs. On top of how sweet the device is as far as from an operating view the big thing with me is always and will continually be SUPPORT. This company knows how to provide support and proves it. I’ve had to obviously call a few times for different issues or questions and I always get super support and a person on the other end that actually seems like they really care vice just giving lip service.

Bomgar has found a way to do it right and I for one appreciate it.

Social Networking

October 14th, 2008

With all the social networking sites out there and millions of people using them they are becoming a very popular place to advertise your services.

If you own a business and are not utilizing sites like MySpace , LinkIn, Face Book, etc then you should be. They are all free to sign up. Free to list your business/servcies.

In total you are probably looking at about 15 minutes to setup accounts, edit your profile, and list your business services. After that you are done. Point the information to your website if you have one or an email address for potential customers to contact you.

Way I look at it, the service is free why not utilize it. Of course there is that mindset that only children use those sites but I can assure you that is not the case. Give it a shot, worst case you get no business out of it (i’m sure most business owners have spent good money before and gotten no results either).
